Trust Measuring Instruments

We have developed statistically valid and reliable instruments that measure trust at the organizational, team and individual leadership levels. These instruments are evaluative tools with a developmental purpose. They make it possible to benchmark and monitor the level of trust in your organization and help leaders quantify a critical aspect of the workplace that is often seen as intangible.

In working with Chagnon & Reina Associates or trained members of our certified network, participants of these trust-measuring instruments receive comprehensive feedback reports with quantitative and qualitative data. The data is utilized to stimulate dialogue that leads to insights and action plans in areas warranting and desiring change.

The Reina Organizational Trust Scale TM (OTS) is a research based, statistically valid and reliable, 48-question self-report survey instrument that measures the level of trust in an organization. Specifically, it assesses how well people in an organization rated the level of trust regarding employees and management based on the behaviors that contribute to each of the three kinds of trust: Contractual, Communication and Competence Trust.

The Reina Team Trust Scale TM (TTS) is a research based, statistically valid and reliable, 48-question self-report survey instrument that measures the level of trust within a team. Specifically, it assesses how well members of the team rated the level of trust within the team based on the behaviors that contribute to each of the three kinds of trust: Contractual, Communication and Competence Trust.

The Reina Leadership Trust Scale TM (LTS) is a research based, statistically valid and reliable, 63 question self-report scale that measures the capacity for trust within a leader and the interpersonal level of trust of a leader in those relationships closest to him or her. The LTS specifically measures the attributes or criteria a leader uses when evaluating whether to trust a person or situation as perceived by him/herself and others. The LTS also measures the level of trust this leader has with those with whom he/she works closest based on the behaviors that contribute to each of the three types of trust: Contractual, Communication and Competence Trust.
